Summary

A recent study on the tolerability and pharmacokinetics of chronic CBD administration in dogs has been published in the American Journal of Veterinary Research. This randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled study suggests CBD (1-12 mg/kg over 28 days) is well tolerated, with absence of any clinically important adverse outcomes. Analysis of CBD plasma levels over time suggests that CBD levels increase with repeated administration but normalize within 14 days of dosing initiation.
