Albert Ramudo is a Director of Regulatory Affairs and Quality at Canopy Growth USA. There he works with veterinarians, scientists and manufactures while collaborating with various Federal and State agencies to bring cannabis-based pets products to the market. Drawing on his 17 years’ experience in the drug development/ biotechnology space, he provides scientific, operational, and business development expertise to companies and organizations within the veterinary and human health industry. He has served in various regulatory, clinical development, and management roles at Virbac Animal Health, Boehringer Ingelheim, Elanco Animal Health, Pfizer Animal Health, MPI Research, and Novartis Animal Health. He served on the steering committee of the Animal Health Institute (AHI) and has a keen interest in addressing the challenges associated antibiotic resistance and alternative testing models that would reduce, replace, and/or refine the use of animals in research.
Albert is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and is a certified Project Manager (PMP). Albert received his Bachelors in Medical Technology from Florida International University, his DVM from Michigan State University and his MBA from Davenport University. He was a former US Army Veterinary Officer, still enjoys all sorts of outdoor activities with his kids and two dogs and is an amateur radio operator in his spare time.
